Brother Printing Issues

We use Terminal Servers for some of our customers. Some are hosted by ourselves and some are in the clients office.

One customer uses Brother printers using the Brother Mono Universal Print
Driver. The drivers have been flawless up until today where a bizarre message
kept popping up:

The selected printing device is different from the one you last used...

I tried:

  • Re-installing the print driver
  • Removing and Installing the printer
  • Changing the printer’s IP Address

To no avail.

Solution

Stored in the Users App data folder is a Brother UPD ini file. I deleted this
and the error message went away and the client started to print again.

Delete %APPDATA%\Roaming\Brother\PrtDrv\BtUnivDrv\BRUNVPRNPC.ini
